That’s what Wildfire in Chicago serves because that’s what they’re great at. 



Executive Chef Joe Decker loves food so much that he maintains a blog within Wildfire’s website that contains recipes, cooking tips, and upcoming food news and events. Wildfire’s Wine & Spirits Director, Brad Wermager, maintains a blog as well called Wine Buzz, where he offers wine tasting tips and wine worthy news. Eddie Ishaq, the Executive Chef of the Tyson, Virginia location, also operates a blog titled Good Eats.  Truth be told, the owners, operators and chefs of Wildfire like to eat good, and that’s why their restaurant is so good – and that’s exactly why DiningIn is so ecstatic to be partnered with them at their Chicago location.

Seriously though: When it comes to Filet Mignons alone, Wildfire has FIVE separate options to choose from.


There’s the Petite Filet Mignon – for the lighter appetite; the regular Filet Mignon – the most tender of all steaks; the Wildfire Bone-In Filet; the High Plains Bison Filet (which they recommend that you order medium rare).


Our favorite over here at DiningIn, the Horseradish Crusted Filet, which is then wrapped in bacon to fulfill the absolute guiltiest of your culinary pleasures. You can actually order Wildfire’s Horseradish Crusted Filets online and have them delivered to your doorstep anywhere in the country if our services don’t quite reach you. It’s really not worth thinking twice about.


And guess what: I haven’t even gotten started in professing my love for Wildfire’s menu.

Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Filet Mignon, but the realest highs at Wildfire lie within the Prime Burgers, Prime Rib, Steaks, Chops and Seafood. I know that all of that probably sounds outstanding, amazing and stupendous, but I also know that if you have kids you’re probably saying to yourself, “Yeah, I’d love me a nice, fat, thick, juicy cut of beef, but how am I going to feed my kids?”


Have no fear; the Wildfire Kid’s Menu is here! Even if you have a husband or wife who is a light eater, this might be the place on the menu for them to eyeball. The Kid’s Menu contains a variety of dishes, from Salads to Pizza, to Pasta to BBQ ribs to a small cut Filet Mignon, and if none of that floats their boat, just get a pizza on the side and split it with them. Our favorite Wildfire pizza is the Classic Mushroom Pizza with Swiss Asiago.


For the big kid food, well, get ready.


If you’re a barbeque freak, try Wildfire’s Barbequed Baby Back Ribs or Barbequed Chicken. If you’re the world’s most indecisive barbeque-loving foodie, you can even get half Baby Back Ribs and half Chicken if you wish! For the cow lovers, you can’t go wrong with the Porterhouse Steak or Basil Hayden’s Bourbon Tenderloin Tips.


If those don’t seem like enough to fill your appetite, try their beastly 22 ounces of a Chicago Cut Prime Rib. It’s the beast that Wildfire cuts for the beastiest.

Oh wait… Did I somehow forget to mention Wildfire’s appetizers?!?

Hold your horses, folks! Don’t go and place your order yet until you hear about Wildfire’s savory starters. For soups, try the Shrimp & Crab Bisque or the Baked French Onion Soup.


If you consider yourself to be a meatballer, try Wildfire’s Tasty Bison Meatballs, a delectable American-Italian dish served traditionally in a tomato sauce. For seafood, Wildfire has some of the best Crispy Fresh Fried Calamari, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail and Oven-Roasted Crab Cakes in the Midwest. They’re all served with a variety of sauces for your dipping convenience.


If you’re a mushroom lover, you’ll be tempted right off the bat while visiting DiningIn, as the Chicken & Portobello Mushroom Skewers lie right at the top of the menu.

Does Wildfire have salads?


Yeah, of course, and they’re very good, but you’re doing yourself a disservice if you avoid their meat-related offerings and stick strictly to the diet of a herbivore.


Of course, you can combine herbivorous and carnivorous traits all within one dish if you get the Grilled Steak And Blue Cheese Salad, but, yeah, if you know what’s good for you and you’re under the impression you’ve only got one life to live, don’t miss out on Wildfire’s beef dishes. Save the healthy eating lifestyle choices for later.
