Cooling Off With DiningIn

June 21st officially marks the start of the summer season. This means it’s time to bring on the bikinis and the speedos, bring out the fresh caught lobster, and bring home some melt-in-your-mouth ice cream and frozen yogurt to your freezer. Sure, the summer season is also a time for sugary iced coffee and savory iced adult beverages that will keep you cool while making you look pretty hip, but when the real heat hits there’s nothing better than a little bit of ice cream or frozen yogurt to chill you out.

But what if it’s just too hot to leave your house or apartment? We all know that the tooth fairy isn’t going to magically deliver ice cream or frozen yogurt and put it under your pillow if you pluck a non-baby tooth out of your mouth with a pair of pliers, but lucky for you (if you’re in Boston, Chicago, Dallas or Philadelphia – and soon in Minneapolis!), DiningIn delivers frozen yogurt or ice cream in all of our cities!

See below how you can cool down with us!

Boston

Ben & Jerry’s: The originator of Super Premium ice cream and a New England favorite delivers from their Newbury Street and Harvard Square locations in Boston and Cambridge – and no one is more creative with their flavors then them. Some of our favorite flavors include Phish Food, Cherry Garcia and Milk & Cookies. Earlier this year, they also unveiled a new FroYo flavor, Liz Lemon – inspired by Liz Lemon from “30 Rock” herself!

Ben & Jerry's

J.P. Licks: Another local favorite (and one that actually came about in Boston) in Beantown forever remains to be J.P. Licks. They offer all of their regular ice cream flavors with the option to get specialty sundaes ranging from the Grasshopper Sundae (with Mint Oreo ice cream, hot fudge, Oreos and whipped cream) to the Healthy Cow Sundae (made with Chocolate Chip Hard Yogurt, yogurt chips and strawberries). DiningIn delivers from J.P. Licks’ Somerville and Newton locations.

Chicago

Pinkberry: Pinkberry’s fresh toppings are of pure unadulterated exquisiteness. If you’re looking to have a full serving of fruit with your sweet FroYo treat and you’re in Chicago, never once hesitate to order from here. As toppings, you can get strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries; mango, kiwi, and banana slices; even cheesecake bites, brownie bites and Captain Crunch! The possibilities are endless, and our partnership with Pinkberry Chicago is a thing of beauty.

Dallas

Red Mango: Whereas Pinkberry provides Chicago with their best FroYo, Red Mango provides Dallas with their best FroYo! Along with their frozen yogurt, they also offer a variety of smoothies, from their Strawberry Banana Smoothie to their Tropical Mango Smoothie to their Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie! Also, beware: Red Mango’s Pomegranate frozen yogurt is probably worth dying for.

Philadelphia

Häagen-Dazs: Of all the awesome things that Häagen-Dazs does with their menu offerings, there really isn’t anything better than their Catering packages. If you’re having a large party in Philadelphia and want to make the party a little sweeter with a hint of some rich ice cream, Häagen-Dazs offers special deals for their customers who are catering to over 100 people. If you’re ordering alone (or with a hot date), they offer some pretty damn delicious sundaes, too. Try the Dulce Split Dazzler, layered with bananas and caramel.

I know, you’re already drooling – but now it’s time to actually take action and do something about it. That is, if you haven’t yet exceeded your respective daily calorie count. If you have, just make sure you order frozen yogurt instead of ice cream. Trust us: You’ll thank us in the morning and again 10 years from now.
