DiningIn.com Restaurants donate food to Campbell's Soup philanthropic event, Campbell's Cut-off
Known for their ready-to-serve chicken noodle soup, iconic American soup producer Campbell’s Soup Company hosted the Campbell’s Cut-off on Thursday, July 18th at the Campbell’s World Headquarters in Camden, New Jersey.
“The Campbell’s Cut-Off event raises money and hair donations for Locks of Love, Pantene Beautiful Lengths, and Children with Hair Loss. These fantastic organizations create wigs for women and children who have suffered hair loss due to a medical illness.”
Campbell’s Cut-off opened its doors to more than 200 attendees including many of Campbell’s employees who participated in the on-site 6 to 8 inch hair donations cut by local stylists in front of the crowd.
“The annual Campbell’s Cut-off was a tremendous success this year," said Beryl Krinsky, boardmember of the Cut-off event.
Since 2008, Campbell has been hosting the annual hair donating event as a way to give back to the community with philanthropic work.
Guest speakers Corrine Sylvia from ConKerr Cancer, transforming lives with colorful pillowcases, and 15 year-old Georgia moved the audience to tears with inspiring personal stories of how cancer has touched their lives.
DiningIn.com Philadelphia and a number of our local restaurant partners were also proud to provide snacks, food for the special reception and join in a total effort to support the cause. Restaurants included: Sweet Freedom Bakery, 5N2 Tokyo, El Vez, Anastasi Seafood, Bitar’s, California Pizza Kitchen, and Delancey St. Bagels.
"Our “Mane Event”" Krinsky continued, "included a talent expo which showcased some of the very talented people who work for" or are involved with Campbell’s, live hair cutting from several of the generous donors, and an inspirational speech from both a girl who is living with hair loss and a leader from ConKerr Cancer."
