DiningIn Staff Picks: Best Brunch
When you think of the most delicious brunches you’ve ever eaten and/or cooked, the first memory that pops into your head probably isn’t a brunch that you had delivered to your home because, well, getting brunch delivered by a restaurant isn't a typical thing for foodies – but why is this the case when DiningIn will deliver delicious brunches in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, and Philadelphia? Perhaps it’s because you didn’t know that DiningIn delivered brunch; maybe you were afraid to take a chance on getting breakfast delivered, as breakfast delivery was never really something to pop into your mind.
Regardless, we’re here to tell you where to find the best brunches in each of the cities that we work in, so regardless of whether you’re trying to feed your whole family on a Sunday or just overindulge in a delicious brunch on a random weekday that you have off from work, we’ve got good choices for you:
James S, Boston Dispatch – When I think brunch, I think of light food and when I think of light food, I think of Masa. Your choices range from Granola, Fresh Seasonal Fruits, and Breakfast Tacos to main courses like delicious Buttermilk Pancakes. Each order comes with a variety of toppings like chocolate chips, fruits, or whatever else you’re looking for. If breakfast isn’t your speed, try a Signature Pulled Pork Sandwich with mixed greens. With so many options from an inexpensive menu, it may be difficult to choose, and that’s why Masa offers the best of the best for Brunch in the Boston area.
Stephanie P, Boston Human Resources Administrative Assistant – If I could plan the perfect Sunday morning Brunch in my pajamas, I would order from Zaftigs Delicatessen. Zaftigs has a fabulous brunch selection with everything from their famous Banana-Stuffed French Toast (pictured below) to Steak & Eggs, Meatloaf, Grilled Cheese, Pot Pie and everything in between. To be specific, I would order the Challah French Toast, one of my favorite items on the menu, as well as the Macintosh Apple and Vermont Sharp Cheddar Omelet. Brunch is about more, not less, and Zaftigs menu remains true to that. I would highly recommend Zaftigs for their wide range of options for a delicious brunch in on a Sunday, or any morning, noon or night for that matter.
J.P. M, Chicago General Manager - Yolk never fails to impress me with their selection, quality and portions of breakfast and lunch items. If you need some late-morning/early-afternoon Chicago-style comfort food, the Huevos Rancheros will fill your belly just right. Going for something lighter? The South Beach is an entire half Pineapple filled with Fresh Fruit, Granola and Yogurt – and oh yeah, you get a killer Muffin of your choice on the side. As for the kids (or your inner kid), you NEED to get the Red Velvet French Toast… It’s one of those dishes that you hope someone in your group orders, doesn’t finish, and offers you the rest. I didn’t even mention Yolk’s killer salads, but you’ll have to check them out for yourself – I promise they’re all phenomenal. Order for delivery and enjoy brunch (with a Mimosa or Bloody Mary, of course) in the comfort of your home!
Ruby N, Dallas Corporate Sales – The best Sunday brunch (or any day lunch) is at Marcus Café in Richardson. I always get the Quiche Lorraine, which is made with Gruyere Cheese and Caramelized Onions. They use cream in their mix as well and it is to die for! This dish comes with both soup and salad with many choices of each so it never gets dull! Anyone can afford to order from there every day as Marcus Café’s items are very fairly priced and their ingredients are always fresh!
Kara M, Philadelphia Quality Control – My favorite place to order brunch from is The Twisted Tail. They have a variety of delicious brunch items, but my top pick is their Ricotta Pancakes! The mild taste of ricotta paired with bacon jam and cinnamon sugar makes for a great blend of savory and sweet- perfect for brunch!
