Food Network's "Heartland Table" Is Back For Its 2nd Season
Minnesotans (and our customers in the Twin Cities in particular) are quite familiar with Midwestern chef Amy Thielen, the star of Food Network's show "Heartland Table" - and the whole entire country is about to become more familiar with her as well. "Heartland Table" is coming back for its second season this Saturday, March 8th, where Thielen, who is 38 years old and is certainly "a connoisseur of all things authentically Midwestern" will present to us the many cooking skills she's learned since growing up just a few miles from the headwaters of the Mississippi River in the Northern Minnesota town of Park Rapids.
Her culinary concoctions may at times seem quite simple, but if you've successfully attempted to cook any of Thielen's comforting dishes within the comfort of your own home, you know very well that they're quite rich, tasteful, and worth savoring. After all: Thielen trained at some of New York City's finest restaurants for just under a decade, and has also written a book titled "The New Midwestern Table" which was published immediately after the first episode of "Heartland Table" aired.
